This course provides an introduction to economic analysis from an international perspective. The main objective is to apply the economic methodology to problems of competition or cooperation between countries. Not only will it provide theoretical economic foundations but it will also analyse real economic problems in the world economy. In this sense, several case studies will be presented throughout the course such as the analysis of financial crises, the impact of the international arena on domestic economic policies or the choice of exchange rate  regime.
